Natak Akademi, Ministery of Culture, Government of India, New Delhi.
Honoured to have been a part of it as a Speaker and presented a Paper on Melattur Bhagavata Mela and the Tradition.
The commendable efforts of all the Artists, Support Staff, Sponsors,
Donors and Well- wishers, especially in the post era of my Brother S.
Natarajan, projected this art into such a high level of National and
Global recognition and appreciation.

On the Special Recommendation of the Panel of Juries constituted
under the Chairmanship of Justice Mr.S. Jagadeesan consisting of Panel
Members Sri.K.N.Ramaswamy, Sri.S.Ravichandran, Sri.K.Harishankar,
Sri.D.N.Varadharajan, Sri.M.Krishnamurthy and Sri.Sekar Rajagopal has
unanimously decided to confer 'The Mylapore Academy Award for
Excellence' to 'Bhagavata Mela Natya Nataka Sangam, Melattur' for
perpetuating the Traditional Art Form 'Bhagavata Mela' for several
years. 84 Years so far.
''Kalaimamani'' S.Kumar, Managing Trustee represented on behalf of all
the Members of Bhagavata Mela Natya Nataka Sangam, Melattur and received
this Prestigious Award on Sunday the 23rd June 2024 at 5 PM at Narada
Gana Sabha Auditorium, T.T.K.Road, Alwarpet, Chennai - 600 018.
All the team members of Melattur Bhagavata Mela whole heartedly express
their gratitude to the esteemed Juries of Mylapore Academy for the
timely nomination of this prestigious Award.

students of Suman Nayak, Anjali Koganti and Sahana Balu, accompanied by
a live ensemble - a fundraiser in support of Bhagavata Mela
Natya Nataka Sangam, Melattur (Kalaimamani S. Kumar's troupe),
facilitated by Project Lion Heart, a 501(c)(3) organization based in San
Diego.
We sincerely thank Sri Kalaimamani Kumar, Sri Nagai P Sriram, the
Koganti family and Balu family for their wholehearted support. Free
